To free bee: Read other books and open your mind

Because you or the Koran proclaims itself to be the final word of god does not make it so. When will this simple fact be understood by followers of religions, especially Islam?Why should anybody else believe it? Your advice not to read other books tells me that you are afraid that the Koran will come out second best in a comparison, and it does when compared to religions of the East. Those religions do not have a being with an ego to end all egos or who are jealous to the point of threatening to sadistically torture anyone who dares to worship anyone else.

Your Allah creates zombies who follow the script he has written for them and then capriciously sends some to hell and others to heaven for following that script (this point needs repeating i.e. Allah already knows what everyone is going to do or think but still seems to think that these zombies have free will and needs to be tortured or rewarded as He sees fit). The monistic Hindu or atheistic Buddhist religions are incomparably better than the violently dogmatic monotheistic religions.

How naive can people be? Someone comes and tells you he is in communication with God and you believe it.

Even a cursory reading with an OPEN mind can tell you that the Koran cannot be from the Creator. The number of days of creation is sometimes given as six and at another place as eight. The earth is like a rug and mountains are to stabilise it. The sun goes and rests at night. Allah seems severely mathematically challenged when he divides up property between family members. Stars are missiles to drive away the devil. Sperm comes from between the ribs and the backbone. There is a clear divide between salt and salt-free water. Maybe Gabriel is hard of hearing and did not hear Allah clearly.

The Hindu scriptures talk about planes, nuclear bombs, rockets, mathematical formulae and they are more than a thousand years older than the Koran. Was Allah beginning to lose his memory as he grew older and got his science all wrong by the time he decided to send out his last revelation?

The 'etc.' is not very helpful. For a book that is supposed to contain all knowledge about Life the Koran is severely lacking instructions to get well when you fall sick, first aid for an accident victim, cures for handicapped children, for old age.

What instructions can any book contain about the 'Hereafter, Heavens, Hell, Angles, Prophets, Destiny '? I have found descriptions of some of them in the Koran. If that is what you mean then you clearly have taken your own advice about not reading other books seriously. Other scriptures give you abundant descriptions about such things. Instructions for prayers are much more elaborate than anything in the Koran in some scriptures.

I understand you are a propagandist for the Last Messenger but have you thought about the fact that the last message should be an improvement on the one before the last? Jesus taught love, charity and showing the other cheek but the last message instead of improving upon that is a throw back to some of the horrors of the OT.

005.033 YUSUFALI: The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;

009.028 SHAKIR: O you who believe! the idolaters are nothing but unclean, so they shall not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year; and if you fear poverty then Allah will enrich you out of His grace if He please; surely Allah is Knowing Wise. ( I have lots of good idol-worshipping friends who are cleaner both physically and spiritually than many of my Muslim friends)

009.029 SHAKIR: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

009.038 SHAKIR: O you who believe! What (excuse) have you that when it is said to you: Go forth in Allah's way, you should incline heavily to earth; are you contented with this world's life instead of the hereafter? But the provision of this world's life compared with the hereafter is but little.

009.039 SHAKIR: If you do not go forth, He will chastise you with a painful chastisement and bring in your place a people other than you, and you will do Him no harm; and Allah has power over all things.

009.041 SHAKIR: Go forth light and heavy, and strive hard in Allah's way with your property and your persons; this is better for you, if you know.

Those are not the kinds of messages I would like to hold tight.

"---And You will be successful in this life and Hereafter inshallah tallah.---"

The instructions of the Koran will certainly make me successful in this life by urging me to go to war and take booty, keep slaves, concubines, or have four wives, who can be easily divorced so that I can marry others. But as to success in the hereafter I would rather go with some other scriptures which proscribe such unethical behaviour.

You want the freedom to do dawah to change or convert unbelievers in their own lands. But Muslims forbid, sometimes on pain of death, any preaching in their lands. Unbelievers have the freedom to become Muslims but a Muslim who wants to change his religion is marked for death. So why should I change and be imprisoned forever in Islam.
