A change of tactics, not a change of heartReader comment on item: Suicide Reversal? Polling the Muslim world Submitted by Richard B. (Canada), Jul 26, 2007 at 23:21 While one might view this superficially as good news (especially in Jordan), this poll does not corroborate a fundamental repudiation of the necessity of jihad within Islam. The Koran is still seen as the innerrant word of Allah and the Prophet Mohammed is still the golden standard to which all Muslims aspire to. Follow the news today and you will find that indeed, most of the victims of jihad are in fact Muslims! Not Jews. Not Christians or other assorted infidels. No, it is the Muslims who love to eat their own by way of jihad. So the first point is merely practical whereas the second point is purely tactical. Apart from 9/11, no gov't has ever shifted their military doctrines or national policies at the strategic level due to terrorism. Muslims realize that covertly underming the West (rather than an outright overthrow) is the better tactic. And why not? The Left has enabled them at every turn and the church is not the powerful voice it used to be in the United States. So let us not be complacent here. Watch and be sober!
