Point by Point Rebuttal- Islam was spread by swordReader comment on item: Who was the Prophet Muhammad? Submitted by Beststarsign (United States), Nov 8, 2007 at 01:54 "First of all, the Holy Quran clearly says "Let there be no compulsion in religion". Well it seems that you havent read the Entire Koran or are deliberately supressing the Truth. Here are some other suras in koran which talks about treatment to unbelievers. 2:191, And slay them wherever ye catch them There are many more like that. I quoted only a few. "Additionally, Christian and Jewish minorities have survived in the Muslim lands of the Middle East for centuries. Countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan all have Christian and/or Jewish populations." Very ture, they live there as second class citizens and pose no danger at all and the Jizyah from them was lucrative enough. " The spread of Islam stands in contrast to the actions of the followers of Christianity, who since the time of the Emperor Constantine have made liberal use of the sword - often basing their conduct on Biblical verses. This was especially true of the colonization of South America and Africa, where native peoples were systematically wiped-out or forced to convert. " It is true that every religion has been violent at some point in History but in most cases except the Jews Violence was preached or Practiced by the Founder.Mohammad was one person who personally sanctioned not only these base human activities but actually practiced them to show the way. I cannot think of a Jesus, Buddha, Hindu Prophets ;Guru Nanak, Confucias and so many other great preachers of Religions actually preaching hate and practicing the basest of human activities. Name an evil activity and Mohammad Personally practiced that: Loot ( Thats how he built up his Initial wealth after fleeing to Medina), Deceit ( attack by surprise and deceit on Jewish settlement and looting and enslaving them), Rape ( including promiscuity with slave girls and having conjugal pleasures with girls young enough to be his great granddaughters),Assassin and Torturer( Got people killed if they dared to ridicule him or tortured them with nails driven in their eyes amongst others to find out where the treasures of their Clan are hidden) These are only a few attributes of the beloved Holy Prophet ( Doom be upon Him) of the Muhammad. So in fact it is only the Talibanis who are practicing the correct religion. Approx. 80-100 million Hindus and Buddhits lost their lives to Muslims during their rule in the Indian Suubcontinent. That is enough to strike terror in the hearts of many and force them to convert. So why did the others not convert. 1. Due to fierce pockets of resistance which would have drained the state's resources.2. They could Impose Jizaya upon the Non Believers which was a lucrative Proposition. Is Islam spread entirely by Sword. I believe not entirely but majorly. After they terrorised and forced majority of Iraninas to ISLAM , they had a toehold into a great culture and civilization which was completely removed from the Arab barbarism. The Scholars of this great Civilisation gave ISLAM its shred of respectability and the Sufis were intrumental in some of the conversions. But to say that ISLAM , a base religion at best spread just becuase the Sufis made it look good is absolutely laughable. And then there were other Incentives. 1. Escape from Persecution. 2. Alliance with ruling Class. 3. Many Rajput Clans in what is Pakistan today converted due to Opportunism and advantages it afforded them. However there is a sliver Lining. Many educated Muslims are themselves realising the truth and managing to come out the garrision like environment of ISLAM. The reason that people couldnot get out of ISLAM after forcible conversions is because they wont allow you . APOSTASY is punishable by death and that holds true even today.Look around yourself and you will find out how difficult and fearful it will be to Leave ISLAM especially where it has a sizeable following. Dear Muslim freinds, Read your Koran more carefully and look at the Hadiths and learn about the sunnas. then you can decide best. And what is so great about Jannat for which your follow such an evil religion "The most sumptuous description of the paradise is, however, found in Islam. In jannat there are four rivers each of delicious water, milk, honey and wine. While the believers in Islam are forbidden to drink wine on the earth, they are privileged to drink from the river of wine in the jannat. Shaded trees laden with divine fruits are to be found in abundance, whose branches lie low for the believers to reach them. Moreover, there are virgins (hoor) of unmatched beauty and given to sensuous enjoyments. A true believer, particularly one who has laid down his life in the cause of jehad, can have as many as seventy-two of them. " Well Guys get one Nice woman in this Life time. That will be much better than 100s of houris in after Life .Leave this religion that can destroy everything that is human about you.
