It Only Takes 1% IntoleranceTo Start A WarReader comment on item: Preface Submitted by Geoff (Canada), Nov 29, 2007 at 10:18 Nambiar, I must take exception to the one statement that you mentioned...that 99% of muslims are tolerant... ...but AS HISTORY HAS DEMONSTRATED TIME AND TIME AGAIN, it is not the masses that cause the problem; it is a select few that drive the masses into a frenzy...the so-called 1%. Take Hitler, who is a recent (and well documented) personality who started with nothing (you can say less than 1%), and swayed an entire nation to his own demented vision, and caused millions of deaths. Yes, the 99% are tolerant, but it is the 1% who can trigger the masses into war. And in islam, of course, the good portion of 99% muslim population can be EASILY MOTIVATED to murder in the name of God for the most ridiculous reasons (as we have been seeing over and over again). From what I've seen so far beheadings, women being executed by "the moral police", families killing their own daughters because they were victims of rape (imagine that!), etc, I think that the islamic temperament is highly sensitive, so a large part of the 'tolerant 99%' can be driven into a frenzy by the 1%... ...as history has shown and proven. By the way, if there are 1 billion muslims in the world today, and 99% of them are tolerant, then what's the intolerant 1% represent? Here's the answer: 10 million... intolerant muslims! Please, let's be aware of the realities, and avoid becoming gullible or ignorant of the harsh truths...
