Coming from a European perspective i believe our problem with Islam is less terrorism than our gradually succumbing to dhimmi status. There's relentless pressure to force Islamic practices onto the general population. This is accordance with the takeover plan issued by the Islamic Council of Europe over 20 years ago (see this post http://irishsavant.blogspot.com/2007/12/why-do-they-do-it.html Based on this, the Danes, for one, are taking the total opposite approach to the one Daniel suggests. They are putting the pressure right back with the none too subtle messae - '"assimilate or leave". However, i can see that this is less an issue for the US - at least for now!
