How Great It Is that there Is a John Hagee and CUFI -- Caroline Glick also writes on the subjectReader comment on item: John Hagee, the Holocaust, and Me: Thinking about Allies Submitted by Sofa Sogood (United States), Jun 4, 2008 at 00:54 Leonard Fein and those who agree with him are more than foolish. How great it is that there is a John Hagee and Christians United for Israel. John McCain made a big mistake by repudiating Hagee's endorsement. He did that because he was fearful that the Obama camp would try to make equivalences with Wright's vicious and hateful ideology and speeches. But there is no comparison in any way. Couldn't be a better way to put it than "It is inconceivable..." The cartoon is perfect! More power to John Hagee and Dr. Pipes! Following is Caroline Glick's excellent article on the subject http://www.carolineglick.com/e/2008/06/jews_united_for_israels_friend.asp "It also successfully created an illusion of symmetry between Wright and Hagee. "This in and of itself is morally repugnant since there is no moral equivalence between Hagee and Wright. Hagee clearly loves America, doesn't have a problem with whites or blacks and loves Jews. Wright is a man defined by his hatreds." Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
