Obama's two-state destruction of IsraelReader comment on item: If Not [Arab-Israeli] Peace Now, What? Submitted by DrRJP (United States), Jul 31, 2008 at 11:15 When Obama spoke to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee , or AIPAC, the largest pro-Israel lobby, his speech made its members think that Obama was a staunch ally of Israel when he said that "Jerusalem will be the individed capital of the Jewish state of Israel." In less than 24 hours, Obama reversed himself on CNN by saying that "The status of Jerusalem is still up for negotiation." Why was there such a radical "shift" in Obama's policy position? In actuality, there was no real shift, that Obama has always given preference to the "needs" of "Palestinians" at the expense of Israelis. Before his AIPAC speech, Obama made the statement that "No one has suffered more than the Palestinians." Oh, really, Senator? Jews have been suffering for the past 2,000, while "Palestinians" as a separate ethnicity from other Arabs never existed before 1964. Six million Jews were murdered in less than a decade. Ehat "Holocaust" did "Palestinians" "suffer?" The Nakba? Gimme a break! Anyway, I digress. Obama made a very telling statement at AIPAC. He said that the "Palestinians NEED a separate and contiguous state." First of all they don't NEED a separate and contiguous state. They have Jordan which is 77% "Palestinian." Secondly, a separate and contiguous state would cause Israel to be partitioned off and surrounded on all sides by hostile Arabs. That's a recipe for the destruction of Israel. "Palestine," is a misnomer as was mentioned earlier. The area that was mistakenly renamed was the Kingdom of Judea. Yet, most people think that "Palestine" refers to the entire land mass called "Mandated Palestine" without even knowing what "Mandated: means. This land mass was "Mandated" to be the Jewish National Homeland. Or, if you want to be picky, the Jewish National Homeland was "Mandated" to be in this land mass, 80% of which was carved out to become the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjorden, and later, in 1947, just Jordan. The UN partiton plans of 1948 AND 1949, called for the creation of a separate Jewish state and Arab state (NOT a "Palestinian" state). The Jews accepted both partition plans while the Arabs rejected it and launched a war of extermination against Israel.
