Toss between survival & demographyReader comment on item: If Not [Arab-Israeli] Peace Now, What? Submitted by Tommy Peters (Malaysia), Aug 23, 2008 at 19:38 "Israel needs to completely cease all negotiations, cease all plans, cease all forms of aid and allow the arabs to sort their own umma of the palestinians out themself. Israel build the damned wall and be done...." Gabby Gabby does not mince but has a point, so does Shlomo Ben-Ami who advocated separation from Judea and Samaria, historic nostalgia aside. Ami suggested should Israel cling on to Gaza, the very boat of 'democracy' will cause it to be swallowed whole by 'demography', a effective tool of the Islamic doctrine, seen playing out in Europe. Therefore, unless the doctrine is defanged and kept out of the political sphere, Israel will have to excise the tumor to survive. 'Ethic cleansing' is another route, but the Torah is too sanitized for this sort of work, thankfully.
