External Vs. InternalReader comment on item: Hamas in Florida Classroom Submitted by Report (United States), Jan 29, 2004 at 12:34 The following quote only serves to prove to us the deceptive nature of Militant Islam. The history and track record of Militant Islam is to use terms, definitions, and titles that are seemingly innocent and quiet, all the while lying-in-wait for the attack. For secular institutions and leaders to get on board with the accusational tone of Militant Islam is a great deception indeed:"...criticism that is being directed against the university by Mr. Pipes and Mr. Romirowsky serve only to demonstrate their lack of understanding of these fundamentals." Now, I ask you, why is it necessary at all for this university representative to lash out at Mr. Pipes? Why bother making any statement about Mr. Pipes understanding or apparent lack thereof? It is totally uncalled-for. Interesting how Militant Islam infects those who do not yet recognize it with this type of accusational aggressive tone and tendency. Mr. Pipes accurately describes this accusational tone as: "Your characterization of our criticism as "shrill" is unbecoming the dignity of Florida Atlantic University. At no point have we engaged in ad hominem attacks on you or your colleagues; we urge you not to characterize our work to protect the country from Islamist terrorism in this offensive way." We must confront the root problem of all of Islam, and that specifically concerning Militant Islam, and that is, Islam does not police itself. We do not see policies of self examination and self correction by Islamic leaders corresponding to the authority they hold. Islamic leaders both in America and worldwide simply are not, and do not hold their own accountable and in check. Currently Islam, and in particular Militant Islam, is being externally policed. Dear friends, we will not see peace, stability, or less terrorism until we see worldwide Islamic leaders, corresponding to the authority they hold, police their own, correct their own, and actually, as a contrast, preach against Militant Islam.
