I go to school at FAU-Muslim Students Support Abu SwayReader comment on item: Hamas in Florida Classroom Submitted by Tamera (United States), Feb 1, 2004 at 22:27 There is a significant Muslim population in Florida. I've overheard Muslim students discussing this situation. I know Muslim students support Abu Sway. The Palestinian - Israeli conflict will keep support strong for Abu Sway and others like him in the Muslim community.Abu Sway is only the tip of the iceberg in the Fullbright and other academic exchanges that bring supporters of terrorist Islam into this country under the auspices of academia. One only has to seriously scrutinize the nature of many computer science programs and Middle East programs in institutions of higher education to find a haven of Hamas supporters. Of course, the Israeli government bulldozing the homes of Palestinian terrorists or whatever you choose to call them -- this bulldozing is inhuman and totally undefendable because it is a direct attack on Palestinian children -- destroying what little security they have and who are in no way responsible for what their fathers, and in some cases their mothers, may have done serves no purpose but to increase the hate toward Israel and likewise the USA. Israel is not the only victim (despite all the Jewish outrage) and until this country acknowleges this and is willing to address the atrocities waged on innocent palestinian children -- then I predict the Muslim community will continue to support Hamas. However, that being said, these academics who are not citizens, need to be sent back to the West Bank and the public funds are better spent on something else. If American students want to understand the situation and the people there, let them go to Israel and the Westbank and get their education there. Maybe then, when they come back, they will have some credibilty if they chose to condemn Israel and support Hamas. We have thousands of Islamic Jihadists supporters in Florida and throughout this country. Importing them under the guise of academia is unbelievablely stupid.
