Disagree with you HuckReader comment on item: A Final Reply to Yoram Schweitzer Submitted by Ynnatchkah (United States), Aug 9, 2008 at 14:53 Disagree on several levels, but do not want to write much. Yoram Schweitzer should be fully acknowledging the right (and the importance) of Daniel Pipes to state his opinions, yet, it does not hold the same standard in terms of intensity, quality and intention that DR. Pipes correcting his English- do not see any equivalency - sorry. Yet, myself as a foreigner, I would be delighted and honored having a person like Dr. Pipes correcting my (poor) English. To me it is a procedure of care and an opportunity to learn. In this case, it is NOT a way to denigrate Yoram, b/c public knows that Yoram is a foreigner- so Dr. Pipes did NOT intend to harm him. DR. Pipes is also a teacher so it is within his realm to correct it. Yet, would he be in silence, it would sound as if he passed over this tremenduous mistake (perpetuated by Yoram), comforming as a result with this low level in English expression. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
