Ynnatchkah, agree and disagree with youReader comment on item: A Final Reply to Yoram Schweitzer Submitted by huck (United Kingdom), Aug 13, 2008 at 06:02 First, I think that Daniel Pipes is doing a hugely important job, and his analyses are some of the clearest and bravest that there are today. I agree with you that Yoram's reaction is stronger and less acceptable, and I think that he should apologize to Daniel, preferably in public. But I still think that Daniel's reply was wrong for a man and scholar of his calibre. The purpose of correcting Yoram's spelling mistake was obviously not to teach, it was more like a punch below the belt- if teaching was the intention then it would best have been done in private, and not in public- this only creates a resentment and diversion from the really important issues. Again, I have no great sympathy to Yoram after his disregard to Daniel, but I'm just surprised of Daniel's reaction.
