It is not Sharia , it is poverty

Reader comment on item: Islamic but Not Shar‘i?

Submitted by Marwan (Sweden), Oct 9, 2008 at 12:00

To apply Sharia is very impossible , those who want Sharia do not know what they are speaking about

There is no one who can move back the society 1400 years to the ston age , those who be hit of Sharia are the weak and the poor people while the rich buy their way out

Saudia arabian have the Sharia law but i never heard about one prince became throut cut or trimmed hand despite they steal the money of the people and living in a way which is not proper to Islam

Some religious fanatics would like to have control over society , these fanatics want to terrorize the peoples lives and to force them into submission in the name of religion

The muslim world need a new leader who can improve their citizens living conditions , providing the job and freedom of speech then we will not hear people talking about Sharia
