I donot fully agree!Reader comment on item: Islamic but Not Shar‘i? Submitted by Rizwan (India), Nov 1, 2008 at 01:08 While it is true that Islamic nations need a change in their leadership, this change cannot and will not take place till Islam is there. People living in ISlamic societies have got used to having dictators as their rulers. It has become a part of the Muslim psche almost. Hence it is impossible to change the state of affairs in Islamic nations till Islam does not either adapt itself to the demands of the 21th century or does not go away fully. New leaders are not a solution to the problem. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
