Israel's mistake

Israel's mistake was in killing Shehadeh at the same time as his children so that he had no time to suffer the pain of a parent who sees his children killed as a result of his own actions.

The appropriate action would have been, to kill the children first, let Shehadeh appreciate the fact that his hamas activities got his children killed, let him experience the special pain that parents feel when their children are killed, and THEN kill Shehadeh himself.

Israel missed an opportunity to make Shehadeh suffer appropriate pain.
