Shehadeh's death along with 14 othersReader comment on item: The Aftermath of Attack in Gaza Submitted by Roland Villars (United States), Jul 30, 2002 at 12:34 Israel continues to lose the propaganda war because it is not a war of conscience or morals but of hysteria. Terrorists drag down passersby and neighbors without any guilt feelings; terrorists kill with joy. Detailed studies from CIT show a disproportionate number (70%) of Israeli victims of terror are small children, mothers, elderly persons. Over 93% of Palestinian deaths at the hands of the IDF are combatants or other young men in direct conflict with Israeli security forces. That should be the issue of conscience, but it is not. Shehadeh was freed from Israeli jail at the insistence of those shaping the Oslo accords, as was Barghouti. As long as the media and diplomats stay at the level of protest politics, the terorists win because they have no conscience but must protect value. Those who danced in the streets and handed out sweets on 9-11-01 are not entitled to win any propaganda war when their leading killer drags down bystanders who this time were his own people.
