Israel's Place in the Heart of Almighty God is Her Ultimate StrengthReader comment on item: Israel's Strategic Incompetence in Gaza Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jan 12, 2009 at 16:20 For all who look upon the circumstances that Israel finds herself in, and the problems she faces trying to protect her citizens and obtain some form of security for her borders, it is with great dismay that in spite of every precognitive influence that would allow Israel to move with intent and courage towards her Divinely given destiny. Very few now recognize that Israel has a promise to be fulfilled, that there is victory in Israel's future. Why? Let us start with Israel's current attitude, shared with a good many of her residents, but most provocatively proclaimed by PM Olmert as quoted by Dr. Pipes. They are tired of having to defend themselves from every action of every sort, from the attacks of their sworn enemies, to the attacks of those claiming to be friends, but lacking sincerity. Given the declaration of the blood enemies not to give Israel any rest (sworn to by the antipathies of being in collusion with the ultimate enemy, the Adversary), one can understand the loss of any sense of security and peace. One might suggest that outside help might be in the offing, yet as the world adopts a self-righteous indignation in promulgating the ‘Palestinian' cry for proportionate response, it can be easily seen that true help, even in the diplomatic attempt for cease fire with Israel bearing the entire burden for what happened, will not come in equality, but with an intensity that Israel must show restraint in the face of her attackers and the population that supports attacks. The insistence that Israel fails in these attempts to secure her sovereignty and national security are easy allegations when all of the world moves toward what appears to be the subliminal intent, to obtain peace at Israel's cost. The ‘Road Map to Peace' has failed, for the ‘two-state' solution is not acceptable to the precepts of Islam. Hamas and Hizbollah were hunkered along the northern and southern borders, and operatives with allegiance to both those organizations move within Israel's borders looking for their moment to attack. Hamas breaks their ‘hudna' with rocket fire, and rockets have started from the north. Are there any plainer demonstrations of the insincerity of these sworn enemies? Is there any country that would suffer these attacks without developing a response? How about India after the evidence of the attacks coming from Pakistan, or vice versa? Yet, all of these things (and many more) notwithstanding, Israel needs to acknowledge one crucial thing to get past her perceived incompetence to do the right thing, their proper place in the heart of Almighty God, her Eternal Sovereign, the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. Deuteronomy 32:43) Rejoice, O ye nations, [with] his people: for He will avenge the blood of His servants, and will render vengeance to His adversaries, and will be merciful unto His land, [and] to His people. Jeremiah 3:17) At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. Ezekiel 11:17) Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel. 18) And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence. 19) And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: 20) That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. Zechariah 13:7) Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man [that is] my fellow, says the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. 8) And it shall come to pass, [that] in all the land, says the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off [and] die; but the third shall be left therein. 9) And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people: and they shall say, The LORD [is] my God. Zechariah 14:3) Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4) And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which [is] before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, [and there shall be] a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. Isaiah 62:1) For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp [that] burneth. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 2) Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. Isaiah 62:8) The LORD hath sworn by His right hand (OK class, who sits at the right hand of Almighty God), and by the arm of His strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn [to be] meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured: 9) But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness. Isaiah 66:5) Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at His word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for My Name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
