Azkad: A peaceful religion will not threaten to torture those who do not believe

If Islam is a religion of PEACE why does the Koran say and AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN that those who die without believing in it will be punished with the most horrible tortures for being disbelievers. Will a religion of PEACE talk of such gory punishments like feeding disbelievers with putrid water, or molten brass that will tear up their innards, for an innocent act of worshipping an idol?

There are umpteen similar verses which shows hatred of people merely because they choose to believe in an idol or associate someone else with the egotistical Allah.

This is not the sharia, but the Koran itself asking for the blood of unbelievers. The sharia is no better. Because of the sharia, Muslims murder people who leave Islam. No other religion has such a cruel practice.

That is good to hear from a Muslim.

This means that what the Iraqis are suffering is because of the haram they have committed. But what about the little children and babies who also die at the hands of the militants and the US soldiers?

What does this mean? How do they correct themselves? Is there a sharia proceduce for this purification? But after correcting themselves are they justified in committing "such violent crime as launching war against Israel"?

By what logic is the Israeli action a war against Islam? The large majority of Muslims are not in the crosshairs of the Israelis.

What about the genocidal war that Sudan has launched against Darfuri Muslims. Is it a war against the rest of the Muslim world? What about the thousands of Muslims killed by Saddam. Did the other Muslims consider that a war against them? Or the Syrians killing a town full of the Muslim Brotherhood? Why does Israel attacking Hamas become a war on Muslims in general? Is it because they are Jews?

The Prophet's footsteps were often drenched in the blood of innocents. He had his critics assassinated in cold blood (Kaf bin Ashraf, Asma bint Marwan etc), he had a man tortured and killed to try and get some treasure (Kinana bin Rafi of the Banu Nadir), he had a whole tribe which had surrendered without a fight decimated in a single night (Banu Quraiza).

If supplication was the only weapon that Muslims used, we would not be too worried. But Muslims themselves do not have much faith in it as they have observed that no amount of supplication results in Allah being moved. Muslims have been supplicating Allah (especially in Saudi, Pakistan, Iranian, Palestinian and other mosques to erase Israel) for decades now. Allah has turned a deaf ear to all those pleas by billions of Muslims.

That is why instead of waiting for Allah to wake up they have taken His advice in 9:111 and decided to kill or get killed. Allah will reward them handsomely when He wakes up.

Why do Muslims pray for the prosperity of only Islam? Are people who follow other faiths not entitled to Allah's generosity? He created them after all, so why the discrimination?

If you believe this then you have no cause to complain about what is happening in the world, including Palestine and Iraq.

Why then does Al Rahman not do it?? Either He is powerless to act in the world or He does not care or more ominously He is responsible for the injustices we suffer. If the Koran is to be believed then you will have to admit that Allah has taken responsibility for the evils in the world.
