RidiculousReader comment on item: Harold Koh, Promoter of Shari'a? Submitted by Pat Goudey OBrien (United States), Mar 31, 2009 at 07:26 If you have something to say about a nominee, how about saying more than that his comments have been suggested to be something we don't agree with. How about you clarify before you vilify? To say that a third party has characterized Mr. Koh's comments in such a way that you take exception with Mr. Koh's comments -- without any amplification or comment from Mr. Koh on the meaning of what he said -- seems to me not just plain lazy, but also plain wrong. Mr. Koh may indeed by someone we don't want to see comfirmed. But, by what you've written, there's no guidance to make a decision. I'm just as open right now to Koh as I was before I ever knew he existed. You've provided no information or guidance for making a judgment.

And if what I wrote concerning is sketchy, that's all the information that is presently available. It is the totality of his thought, something I am did not get into in this brief blog, that is most troublesome, well beyond his views on Islamic law. Reader comments (50) on this item
