Let´s keep things "kosher", that is clean and tidy.Reader comment on item: Harold Koh, Promoter of Shari'a? Submitted by Isaac Haskiya (Denmark), Apr 2, 2009 at 05:46 Sharia is a legal system that can work in Muslim states if and when a majority of its people accepts it. Nobody can force Muslims to live by the Western standards. On the other hand no one in a Western country that has opted to live by what is usually defined by democratic standards, and the legal aspects that are its results, can accept to live according to a set of double standards if the aws of Sharia are accepted also.. It would be catastrophic. Consequently Sharia in a Muslim state...yes! Sharia in a non-Muslim state..no! The most important issue here is that neither parties are allowed to impose its life-philosophy on the other by violent means. What the world needs, in our days, are clear and simple definitions and not obscure philosophical discussions that not only lead to nowhere but also create un-clarities!
