KOH'S CONFIRMATION HEARING SET FOR TODAY 4-28-09Reader comment on item: Harold Koh, Promoter of Shari'a? Submitted by Sofa Sogood (United States), Apr 28, 2009 at 17:35 According to an article at National Review Online, Apr. 28, by John Fonte, Senate confirmation hearing for HAROLD KOH is TODAY. I wrote to several Senators requesting that they vote against this confirmation, and the confirmation of anyone else with beliefs similar to Koh's. I also wrote and phoned friends, asking them to do the same. I SUGGEST ANY AMERICAN WHO BELIEVES IN GOVERNMENT BY THE CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED, TO DO THE SAME. WRITE TO YOUR SENATORS IMMEDIATELY. AS IS TO BE EXPECTED, THE MEDIA KEEPS AMERICANS IGNORANT AND IN THE DARK REGARDING SOME OF THE MOST URGENT ISSUES WHICH COME BEFORE CONGRESS. President Obama, by his nomination of Harold Koh, displays his contempt for our Constitution and most basic ideals. Dr. Pipes alarming article gives a good summary of Koh's dreadful ideas re having Sharia laws and Courts in the U.S., plus Dr. Pipes also discusses Koh's activism for the U.S. to be governed by Trans-National Laws. Here is a link to John Fonte's new article of today at National Review Online. http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZWZkMGM0M2JjNmY5N2RjNjBkMTBlNzFlMjI4N2NkOGE= April 28, 2009 JOHN FONTE "KOH FAILS THE DEMOCRACY TEST" It is not only that Mr. Koh is pro-Trans-nationalism, he also advocates that the American people ought not to have any say in whether this system is adopted or not. The intention is to "force" and "persuade" a "resisting" nation-state to internalize the body of Trans-Natonal laws into domestic law. To accomplish this, he proposes that Domestic Courts must play a Key Role. Thus, By-Passing the Ratification of Treaties Process to be done by the elected Senate and House, and giving that right to unelected Judges -- without any representation or consent of the people to be governed by these laws. Once the Judges accept a set a laws, they become our law -- and OVERRIDE THE CONSTITUTION. As opposed to Americans dukeing out what laws they want passed or not, subject to the Trans-National process, would be, for instance Free Speech, Human Rights, Immigration, Environment, Trade, Terrorism, Foreign Policy, Internal Security, and social issues such as Abortion, Feminism, Gay Rights, Status of Children. It sounds preposterous, but please do read the article, and you will understand that Treaties trump the Constitution. Although these laws will technically be considered Treaties, it will not be necessary for them to have been accepted by Congress. AS SOON AS THE COURTS APPROVE THE LAWS OR TREATIES, THESE FOREIGN DECIDED LAWS WILL BE LEGALLY ENFORCEABLE AND WILL BE THE LAW OF OUR LAND. As European Union Laws are decided by an Unelected body of those who Know Better Than the People bureaucrats, like Koh and Obama, except that they won't even be American citizens -- so will our laws be. Mr. Fonte says, the Trans-National process proposed by Obama-Koh, is a new form of governance, which he calls POST DEMOCRATIC. The time to panic enough to make some noise about this is now, before Koh and his likes are confirmed by the Senate.
