Sephardic TranslatorsReader comment on item: [Abdurahman Alamoudi: A] Slick Islamist Heads to Jail Submitted by Lorrie Fein (United States), Aug 4, 2004 at 10:14 Dear Mr. Pipes,Thank you for the integrity and skill displayed in your writing. It is interesting how no Sephardic, Arab speaking Jews, were hired as translators for our government. Why are only muslims allowed with secret documents and government issues? Why are muslims trusted and Jews considered to have dual loyalties. After 9/11 over 90 people applied to the government and none were hired. The sephardim are well acquainted with muslim culture, religion and life while the Americans are still trying to ascertain the situation. Thanks. Stay well and strong!
