You don't seem to be asking yourself whether the issue in Iraq is Islam, or whether it's actually the tribal nature of the Iraqi Arabs, and Arabs in general. Are Arabs violent because Islam is violent, or is Islam violent because Arab culture is violent? Radical Islam itself, in almost any incarnation, claims to be transcendent of sectarian and tribal differences in theory, yet we know that this is never how it turns out in reality (the same applied to Marxism, as well as Pan-Arabism, Pan-Africanism, and every other universalist ideology of the 20th century).
