Absurd embassies :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

A terrible indictment. Something doomed from the drawing board .... or perhaps not: have you seen the French Embassy in Algiers .... a whole gentle hill in central Algiers planted with tennis courts and swimming pools, manicured lawns and block house style buildings. The staff were never seen outside, and kept themselves away even from other embassy receptions ...
