Islam And Who The Enemy Is - A QualifierReader comment on item: Pipes: Flotilla Raid a War for World's Future Submitted by Mark D (United States), Jun 13, 2010 at 21:40 Nice post. Very well - at its core the Koran, the bitter truth is Islam is doubtless evil, because the stuff the Koran says sends chills down one's spine. So what you say then is a no-brainer: But just because one's religion is Islam does not necessarily mean one is the enemy. Muslims who say they respect other religions, believe in civil rights, women's rights, etcetera, are ill-informed of, out of step with their religion and as such do not follow it, are not the enemy. They look the other way with what the Koran says, or simply does not devote considerable attention to it, have no deep appreciation for it, or have little regard in its specifics and focus. They are not the enemy. Veering radically off course, they are not affected by or refuse to a great degree its baleful influence. They are not the enemy. On the opposite page, Muslims who see us as infidels, who kill people in the name of Allah immeasurably know better in terms of Islam. They are the eminently true followers. They are the ones who really practice it's teachings. They are the ones who show true commitment, acutely aware and have a clear grasp of Islam's bedrock principles. And for goodness' sake they are the true Islam. And are the enemy. There are those who say radical Islam, not Islam, as if Islam itself is not radical, is the enemy. In effect, what they are actually saying is that Islam the religion is fine, and that those who run amuck are extremists of the religion – those precious few who are at the margins and are at odds with Islam's teachings. It's the opposite. Islam is the problem and those who abide by it in the main are the enemy. And those Muslims who are peaceful, cooperative, and does not harbor ill will against other religions and the West - those do not really abide by their religion and are not the enemy. In turn, those Muslims who follow Koran in its meaningful way – as such being genuine followers - are the enemy. Mark D.
