wow...your post is full of holes and mistakes... some one = someone may be = maybe with such a poor command of English, i doubt your ability to command Arabic and i was proven right... al-rasul al-nabi al-ummi = ar rasul an nabiya al ummiyah By the way, i don't refer to this verse with regard Muhammad being illiterate - so for you to jump to this conclusion indicates your propensity to be assumptive and incorrect...lol Oh, and "iqra" also means "recite" - both read and recite are understood from context...the root of the word comes from the semetic root q-r-a, which means, put together or present piece by piece...it is the root from with the word for a pregnant woman comes. As is clear from the history of the verse, the prophet thought the word meant "read" and he protested until he came to understand that it meant recite. Additionally, we know that there isn't a single thing that anyone has determined he wrote. Even the Quran was not initially written but memorized and recited. The word Quran itself means "proclamation", not "reading" - it comes from the same root as iqra good try, dhimmi (actually not so good) - back to elementary school you go :-)
