Dear Ann,

You are a sincere and naive american women who is denied any information about what is happening out side USA by self censored media, tightly controlled by a few ultra conservative tycoons. You believe that american women have god given freedom to cover their head or not. This freedom is denied to billions of women around the world whose oppressive government was financed, armed and put in place by your governement. Turkey was your closest ally. Women inTurkey have to sit at home as they are expelled from schools and universities if they resist pressure to remove head scarf. Egyptian TV hostesses appeared with head scarf on air, the moment the dictator Murarak who was maintained by 3 billion of americal tax payers money, was thrown out by popular revolt. The Ban on head scarf in Tunisia was thrown away with Ben Ali, not by americans bombs that showered in Iraq or still showering over Libya, but by popular revolt.

The white burqa clad men in saudi arabia possess the rule that women should cover up to protect the security of society, same argument used by men in suit that make rules for women in France. Ironically the oppressors of saudi arabia exists only on Americans mercy. While they pass law banning sharia in US states where there are less than a few hundred muslims, denying them practicing their private religious rites, the same americans imposse the harshest sharia on saudi men and women by rolling red carpet to saudi king and selling 60 billion worth of wepons which ultimately will be used to massacre civilians in that courtry as has been proved in Bahrain, qnd libya.

I am sure you will not able see what is happening around world in your TV screen or print media. You think that you have god given freedom and democracy. But your country is the one that denies the same rights to billions around the world. As you may not learn these things in your history books, ask south americans, what happened to them when they tried elect their rulers. How brutal dictators were impossed on them. The tinest Granada tasted the might of mightiest american army when they excercised their god given right to elect their own government. It's a pity that americans have been denied the knowledge of their own history.
