Let us teach them Beethoven and worry not about how they kill their Chicken.

Dear Dr Pipes, I agree with you. We have to educate Muslims on so many different fronts. We have to teach them the importance of free speech. We have to tell them peaceful coexistence. We have to educate them about separation of church and state. They need to learn live-and-let-live. We have to open their minds about respect for women. We have to educate them why destroying other culture's and religion's icons is not a great idea. We have to convince them that no matter how hard one tries, a law that is true for all time to come cannot be written. And, -as you said elsewhere- we need to teach them to admire Mozart and Beethoven. Truly speaking, Muslims need enlightenment in so many different ways. Until that enlightenment is complete, we can ignore how they kill their chicken. Once that education is complete, they will figure out how best to kill the chicken or not to kill it at all. Against, Islam bigger battle there are bigger battles to be won than how to kill a chicken.
