A Secular Israel Will Give Way to A Prophetical IsraelReader comment on item: Not Stealing Palestine but Purchasing Israel Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Jul 1, 2011 at 16:18 There is in this exchange a certain subliminal sense of things that provokes the thought that the inevitably of the prophetical implications concerning Israel are more compelling when the entirety of the Jewish story is told in truth and not by the fabrications of the history tellers desiring to forge a new virtual reality in complete contradiction to the true reality. Avoiding the complex delusion being perpetrated by many that Israel is a figment of an anti-Semitic scenario of Israel having no tangible basis for making claims to the land, when the Zionist movement began in earnest to take a greater control of returning the Jewish heritage to the land, it has all the appearance of a more secular approach in accomplishing the resettlement. Now, this reader is a Zionist viewing evangelistic disciple of Yeshua HaMashiach, believing that Israel is exactly where her Eternal Almighty Sovereign wants her to be. The situation of the returnees making aliyah for non-Biblical reasons is no less compelling than those who do so for the spiritual implications. In either circumstance, the various Hebrew Holy Scriptures are in their process of fulfillment and are among the best evidences of the completion of the WORD of the LORD that can be seen. The distinction of the more secularist notion as seen in Ben Gurion and Nahum Goldman statements actually provides fuel for the anti-Semitic argument that Israel's rights to the ancient lands could be argued, and that portions could be used and bargained away for security amid the virulent antipathies Israel must contend with in the 'neighborhood.' True Christianity, the kind that Yeshua HaMashiach spoke of as the 'Church' He began on the cross, does not have a leg to stand upon if it tries to embrace the 3rd point of efforts to delegitimize Israel's Jewish State. There is the long running humanistic ideology that there is a Biblical basis for the 'replacement' of Israel as the representative of the LORD in Jerusalem, a theme of the crusaders a thousand years ago and still representative of many Christianesque ideologies today as many try to make Jerusalem the 'eternal capital.' There is NO mandate to 'Christianize' the world, only to witness the love of Almighty God through Yeshua HaMashiach and teach the Gospel. Read the Hebrew Holy Scriptures in truth and realize that any Christian attempts to 'set aside' (read delegitimize the Jewish people) Israel from her true place in the world will result in a judgment too many are ignoring. The true Zionist scenario of Israel's situation should be that of reminding ourselves what Nehemiah did after the Babylonian deportation, (the first part), and Ezra's actions in building the Second Temple (the second part) as the children of Abraham were returned to the land. A clue: Ezekiel description of the third temple; what needed to happen before Ezekiel's vision could be realized is that the JEWISH people needed to be in the place of the return in the land, in spite of the misguided secularist mentality that seems pervasive in much of the current Israeli leadership (that can be seen in any endeavor to bargain away ANY of the heritage for peace-Gaza is a clue here). Now oil thirstiness is indeed a component for many as to why too many try to take the Muslim/Arab/Iranian position in trying to defeat the argument for Israel's place in the land. But oil is only a bargaining chip for the more compelling reason to make a determination about Israel. Jerusalem is the focal point as the Scripture says: but payment for Jerusalem is not going to be made in oil proceeds; instead the payment will be in blood. The world seems willing to turn a blind eye when the radical Islamists call for Jewish blood; but learn the lesson of the Pharaoh during the Passover. It is an eternal imperative replicated over and over in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures. For those thinking that Christianity is going to overrun the Holy Land, understand it is not Christianity that will do it, but the Eternal Almighty Sovereign of Israel Who will do it. That is what His WORD says; and that is what we should be counting on. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
