Stars and Stripes :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

Dr Pipes key words on hopeful conservative thought are "sound thinking". To the degree that conservatives make more sense than liberals, it will decide the day. Conservatives should be reminded that Americans have a few different stripes.

One stripe advocates to create and promote business over here. One stripe advocates to stay in the business of being smart and strong over there. And one stripe, where conservatives are the weakest, is that on some personal issues, Americans want conservatives to totally mind their own business. Conservatives who understand all three American stripes will be our next star.
