Amin wonders if we condone the killing of 100000 civilians in the Iraq war. We fired our last president because we did not like that war. And, the truth of the matter is that the situation in Iraq is far better now than it was four years ago. Situation has gone worse in Afghanistan but some will argue that situation there will be equally bad even if US is not preset there. I would like US to be out of Afghanistan and I will very much like that Taleban is also out of Afghanistan.

Huh? Bush had served two terms - he was going. US should NOT have given support to the Mujahideen of Afghanistan in the first place - ridiculous. That was a snake that was going to bite back. Neither should they have called Saddam "Our Bastard" and provided him support to fight Iran. Those were costly mistakes.

Its the tactics. US purposefully went in for hard and unnecessary weapons use that killed mass civilians. Despite the temtation nice to know Obama did not make such a mistake in helping Arab Revolution.

The point is that in the US a president was fired and another installed without as much as a water gun fired. If the Islamic countries can show that kind of maturity, no foreign power will dare enter those countries. Nor would they need to.

Which President was fired? Islamic countries have major economic social moral and political probelms. They are all virtually dead societies.

An update - Dr Tahir Ul Qadri has landed himself in hot waters - by Issuing another Fatwa - that Islamically it is wrong to term Jews and Chrisitans as "Kafir" - as the real term is "People of The Book"

Given his success, position and authority - among Pakistani & Indian Muslim - it is read widely. But of course, it did not sit well with the orthadoxy.

There are three main sects within Sunni Islam. Deobandi and Salafi and "Barelvi or Sufi". Deobandi and Salafi do not condemn terrorists - but they condemn terrorism - virtually all terrorist come from these 2 sects - salafi in particular. "Sufi+" - openly condemn terrorism and tend not take part in terrorist activities.
