Submitted by Frederico Pinheiro (Brazil), Sep 13, 2011 at 17:22 Why, in the first place, have islamics threatened the US? Because of the bunch of american military bases spread on their countries? Because of the overwhelming american economic control and interests which dominate the world? Because of direct interference of US policy in islamic countries' matters? Pick one. I'm not safer and you aren't either, although you may feel that killing some hundred thousands iraqis or afghans did the trick. We're all - americans or not - much, much unsafer. Rome may also have felt safer after reducing Carthago to ashes ... but they weren't. Submitting....
