If only we had acted sooner...

If only we had recognized the original Embassy attack as an act of War (the Heroes of WWII versus the Self-Indulgent Cowards of the Neo-Con modern age) then 30 years of gut-churning torture and terror would not have happened in Iran, Islamists would never have decided America was nothing but a pack of "weak willed cowardly fools", and the recent Al Qaida terrorism would probably have been cancelled before it even started. Iran has suffered because its leaders are Monsters. We have suffered because our leaders are Garbage.
