Are we saferReader comment on item: "Are We Safer?" Submitted by sufi imdad ali soomro (Pakistan), Sep 15, 2011 at 01:50 Respected Sir, Whenever any economic fiasco or economy is badly hit by any reason major countries of the world are directly affected and rests are indirectly. In global village inter dependency has by and large increased manifold and being indispensable part of Uni-polar world , US may enact laws, formulate policies regarding anti-terrorism, anti religious extremist and so, but it cannot be safer state unless she plays gigantic role being an effectee of terrorism, to up root this menace which is more lethal threat than AIDS. Terrorism in the era of space and technology cannot be tolerated in any form and manifestations. It is not acceptable to civilized world. Islam has never been and will not be a menace or threat to the world community. These are apprehensions and designs to distort facts and ground realities. By brutal suppression, Islam cannot be stopped. World should not be worried about Islam but should be worried about those Islamic extremists whom US and other western countries are financing and providing logistic supports. Why people of US and Western countries are silent why confirm news are flashing in Televisions and Internet that US is engaged with good Taliban to find out viable solution in Afghanistan. Why not people of US and Western countries are not exercising influence through forums to engage with major Islamic countries to make consensus on certain issues like terrorism, racialism, poverty and other major issues....
