Depraved IndifferenceReader comment on item: Non-Muslims Who Fast for Ramadan Submitted by Lewis Percher (Canada), Oct 4, 2011 at 01:34 It's not my intention to belabour the point, only to make it one single time, which unfortunately requires two posts. I asked the author what Saudi Arabia was like, as she apparently spent some time there, yet as a Jew, I am forbidden entry (we can add Gaza to the list of Judenrein territories now, and, as many hope, soon the West Bank, seeing as how it's apparently "against international law" for a Jew to so much as LIVE. Should he do so, Israeli or not, the Jew would no doubt be considered an "illegal Jewish settler"), and I received the MOST TYPICAL of Muslim responses to any hint of a concern for the well being of non-Muslims: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. "[I] look back and refelct on my years being young and single, fasting and braking fast with freinds [sic] from various countries [yet only Muslims allowed, of course], all united at one table." Of course the terrorists are but a tiny minority of extremests. The rest would never do such things! They vast majority of Muslims are peace loving! (And display depraved indifference towards the well being and all too often the suffering of anyone else.) Depraved indifference may not be terrorism, but it's still a crime. Indeed it's a required pre-requisite of a crime without which terrorism couldn't thrive and be so rampant, no matter how tiny a minority the "extremists" may be. I'd quote Burke if it weren't so damned trite.
