"Mosa" (Moses) is a Muslim ProphetReader comment on item: Non-Muslims Who Fast for Ramadan Submitted by Lewis Percher (Canada), Oct 6, 2011 at 12:32 By fasting in dedication to Moses, Mohammed wasn't fasting as a gesture of interfaith solidarity at all. Rather, he was fasting in honour of the MUSLIM prophet "Mosa" (Moses). Mohammed fasting in honour of Moses is no more of a gesture of goodwill to Jews than a Christian who believes that Jews are responsible for the killing of Christ, fasting in honour of the Jewish prophet Isaiah, who Christians believe to have prophesized the coming of Jesus as the Messiah. I see no goodwill going on in the above story whatsoever. After all, Jesus was a Jew, and considered the son of God by Christians. Would the worshipping of a Jew by a Christian anti-semite somehow be some sign of respect for Jews? Mohammed's reverence for a certain other Jew is no different.
