Egypt May Be Iran Within 3-5 YearsReader comment on item: The Attack on Israel's Embassy in Cairo Submitted by RB Miller (United States), Oct 18, 2011 at 13:46 The "Arab Spring" has the potential for greatness, but more likely highly probable, will be the fomenting of a Islamic Theocracy of Radical Jihadists, much like Iran. Like the Socialist Left of this country, the Jihadists will absorb into Egyptian culture. Education, government religion, the civil service, the police and even into certain elite military units. The effects won't take long to turn into reality. The Egyptian society and culture are already Islam-centric. Unfortunately, both society and culture are now destabilized and this is where the forces of radical Islam dominate. Until the overthrow of Mubarak, the society was , although autocratic at many levels, a very stable society. Those cohesive forces are gone now. Don't be surprised if Egypt goes the the way of Iran within three to five years. econus.blogspot.com Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
