Reader comment on item: Palestinians Don't Deserve Additional Aid

Dr. Pipes has it exactly and precisely right. Mahmoud Abbas with a little pragmatic diplomacy extended the good wishes and the good will of the Arabs in Palestine to Arabs in other countries. A very deft strategy to keep the foreign aid afloat. On this we should depend for peace while the cash machine continues churning out vast sums of money to peoples without a legitimate state, a legitimate grievance, a legitmate cause. A state or an area so declared to belong to Palestinian Arabs, whatever that means, that has no real separate identity, no economy, no societal structure, no democracy, no institutions, no imports and no exports except terrorism.

Its society is in chaos. Its education system is constructed and formed to teach the children of the Arabs to hate the Israelis and to kill them.

Nothing became Arafat so in life as his leaving of it. Long live Abbas, the next lottery winner of foreign aid. What has changed in the funding of the Arabs in Palestine? Are there to be independent audits? Are there checks and balances on how the money is to be spent? Where is the accounting of said monies? So far the only public disclosure of their cash receipts are the payoffs to the jihadists' families when one of them blows himself to smithereens taking as many innocent Israelis with him as monstrously possible.

Abbas has his eye on the foreign aid prize and continuing this cash machine of terror has no redeeming social value. Abbas has not indicated how the money is to be spent. This is the legacy of Yasser Arafat and Abbas learned his lessons well from the murderous slaughteringly Arafat on how not to account for money and never to spend it legitimately or we would have heard otherwise. Instead he offered an olive branch to the other surrounding murderous despots. Nigel Roberts, Director of the World Bank in the West Bank and Gaza, openly admits not much has been done with the money given in the past. His solution to the problem is to give the Arabs in Palestine even more money!

The Arabs in Palestine are entitled to nothing because they have earned nothing and have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of anything that even resembles legitimacy nor normalcy. Terrorism is their most important product. That being the case, let them fund their own murderous cause instead of the West creating another environment in which terrorism will live on.
