Laying BetsReader comment on item: Tehran holds Obama re-election wild card [in Iraq] Submitted by Jay1 (United States), Dec 20, 2011 at 21:37 So far in the last three weeks, all American troops have been withdrawn from Iraq, our drone oddly flew into Iran, and a CIA agent has been abducted there. Conclusions are hard to draw. We live in mysterious times. If the President is leading or being led closer to an Iranian confrontation, the Republicans will be pushed into agreeing on the mission. It would be hard for the Republicans to vote soft. I am a believer that Iran's sites should be taken out in total. And I also agree Iran can make or manipulate the President on this. But the President ,any President ,may wish to know, that a success on a battlefield can be appreciated for victory yet admonished for convienent election timing. So will suspected Congress people be admonished, who call their stock broker and lay bets, the day before the strike.
