Bomb IranReader comment on item: Tehran holds Obama re-election wild card [in Iraq] Submitted by mo (United Kingdom), Dec 25, 2011 at 05:13 The only reason Israel has not taken necessary action i.e. bomb Iran is the fact that they are not very sure of the US tax payers ability to foot bill. Americans are also not ready to receive more body bags over and obove that have been coming out of Iraq and Afganistan. Nobody has any doubt about Israel's techinical capabilities to do the job. But Israelis are not sure of the outcome. Recent experiences with ragtag armies of Hamas and Hisbollah are not enouraging. After bombing extensively in Lebanon including Beirut airport and UN compound to crush Hisbollah, world sees Hisbollah more powerful and now ruling beirut. Same fate with Gaza war. Hamas not only still exists, but more powerful and extending itselfin to west bank though PLO reconcilliation. While Military is confident about the it's capabilities to bomb Iran, political leadership is not sure of the outcome of attacking a regional power, with astounding scientific progress, having developed fighter jets, submarines and even sending a satellite to the orbit, all under decades of strict sactions. I pray that americans choose campaign and ballots, to elect their new administration rather than bombing yet another foreign country to engineer the outcome of election. I hope they have become wiser with experience that money is well spent on the welfare of citizens with good health care and education, rather than bombing far away lands for the pleasure of a few.
