Amazement

It never ceases to amaze me how Israel is continuously held to the highest possible standard, criticized for protecting her citizens, damned for building walls around her borders to exclude terrorists, and on and on. Even to magnify a neighborgood issue with religious disputes to a humanitarian crisis.

And all this while Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, a plethora of countries, abuse, shoot in the street, honor kill, murder and torture their citizens, prevent freedom of speech and treat their women like chattel. Western and Eastern countries alike enforce strict immigration laws, build walls, check identification and secure their citizens, yet somehow if Israel does it, it is wrong. Israel is expected to sit back and tolerate any attacks, abuse, invasions, anything so as not to appear to be the aggressor. She is held to the highest scrutiny in fighting terrorist enemies and entities. It is very disheartening indeed.
