So Israel should be the mark? :: Reader comments at Daniel Pipes

If the US does not protect her oil interests with deterrence and decisiveness, the job will be left to Israel to clean up the mess. I think that secretly, everyone is hoping that Israel will be forced to act so they don't have to, and that includes all of the ME countries as well.
