Arrogance of the WestReader comment on item: Assessing the U.S. Global Military Force Submitted by stanley b (United States), Jan 21, 2012 at 16:26 Myth, as a member of the EU you must be familiar with the culture of cerebral and civilized discourse rather than 'barbaric' military defense. This generation of privileged children has no understanding of survival and thinks in a theoretical manner. They abhor violence and regard it as barbarian acts that they will not stoop to. What they fail to take into account is the mindset of the non- privileged non-western cultures who are more than happy to take advantage of their naive attitude. It is arrogant for the western countries to assume that others think like them. And it is to their great disadvantage and threatens their very survival. It looks to be the way of all great civilizations. As they evolve they become weak and irresponsible and are soon decapitated.
