The fact that Salman Rushdie has not used his global notoriety as a pulpit to speak out continuously against the notion that he should be put to death for his written words is a perpetual shame. These issues should be brought to fron and center to put the spotlight on the insanity of fatwas and death threats in the Muslim world.
