If you want non-Islamist examples, then look at Sub-Saharan Africa, Mexico City, Rio de Janero, Bombay, and even the growing anarchy that is visible in the form of drugs and crimes in the inner cities of the United States. The "Occupy" movement, Greek protests all had some aspect of Anarchy in them.
