the bearded round men themeReader comment on item: It's Not Road Rage, It's Terrorism Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), May 20, 2012 at 00:04 Interesting to see the same format we often see - but in German. Seriously rotund, bearded men , culturally inappropriately dressed in white frocks vociferously defending their strange and peculiar delusions by shouting down all lucid points from their opposition. BTW, someone should tell that particular type 2 diabetes sufferer that his beard seems like a firehazard. The challenge we face is in remaining detached and losing our own peace of mind when stupidity and ignorance is being recommended as a lifestyle/belief alternative by the stupidly ignorant. i.e. our lesson is not to lose our cool. This requires a certain detachment but not to the extent that we take a laissez faire approach to further encroachment of this retrograde phenomena in our societies. It requires being dismissive of their BS and not allowing them any inroads into our institutions , large and small - i.e. allowing local sharia law and courts, halal foods(the cost of which is an impost on the general public and a massive money-spinner for a select few muslims) , islamic banking, backyard slaughter of lambs, segregated swimming pools, fmg, muslim-only prayer rooms, time off during work hours for cult practices, etc. Muslims newly arrived in the West from their cultures would see that in general Westerners are more individualistic, educated and sceptical - we don't have fixed beliefs to put all our energy behind. Too many muslims - the self-responsibility of living with an open and questioning mind and having the ability and right to choose our experiences and viewpoints (and accordingly experience the consequences of our thoughts and actions) must seem abhorrent. Not washing the hands and facing Mecca 5 times a day, no Hajj, no Mo, no beards, no women in tow, etc etc all this in their eyes equals insecurity. So in one sense it is understandable they wish to try and remake the world into the one they left behind. But that is no reason at all why we should tolerate their attempts to do so. There is no question that Western culture, for all its faults is far superior. Any comparison with any culture that has sprung from 1500 years of islam proves it. Their being in the West proves it.
