Abbas' only concept of peace with Israel is "rest in peace"Reader comment on item: Which Way Will Abbas Go? Submitted by Srinivasan Varadarajan (United States), Jan 12, 2005 at 07:09 Daniel has hit it on the nail by comparing Abbas today with Stalin in 1930. A comparison could also be made quite easily with Hitler--who several times claimed he "was done with territorial claims" (when in reality, he wanted everything to be under Nazi-Reich domination). Also, the "right of return" claim started by Arafat (and continued by abbas) is at-best spurious. It would be like a Mohajir (Gen. Musharraf and former Pakistan Army Chief Gen. Beg both belong to this group) claiming a "right of return" to Lakhnau, Pune or Mangalore (no Indian in right mind would support such) or a Silesian-German claiming such on Wroclaw (prior to 1939, the German city of Breslau)--and that is for the original refugees (many of whom were not even native to the Holy Land in the first place, but came from Syria, Iraq, etc. to serve Hajamin Husseini's "cause"). For their descendants (note that in no other group than "palestinians" is the term "refugee" used to describe someone born after-the-fact who never fled from anywhere, though descended from someone who did--and this group among "palestinians" makes up easily 95% of "refugees"), the claim is downright nonsensical! Also, why is the "palestinian" refusal to acknowledge the immutable law of choice-consequence never even noticed?
