America will sacrifice Israel if its global interests require dismantling Israel.

First, let's look at other "friends and allies" of the US to understand Israel's anxieties and motivation. Whom can we see over there in America's choice company? Only "friends and admirers" of Israel like ... Saudi Arabia (a notoriously great "friend" of Israel and Jews ;), Jordan (where there is a law that makes a capital punishment selling land to a Jew), Qatar, the Untied Arab Emirates ,Turkey ( as always boastful of its mythical pro-Jewish past and totally forgetful of its anti-Jewish historical record ) - to name just a few in America's cohort of "friends and allies".

Well, what would you think and do if you saw some muscular guy who tells you he is your "friend" and yet is surrounded by a mob of your worst enemies whom he arms with the latest weapons systems at that ?

Note that Jews in general have a much better memory than Americans and so don't buy the naive and sweet version of the history of America's relations with Israel. In short , you must be always on the alert and suspicious of such a "friend".

A broader question is though that countries don't have friends but only interests. And if so who will convince me that the US will not sacrifice Israel if its existence becomes an obstacle to global American interests ?

Not to be so abstract , remember that America is actively using Islam as a tool to promote its interests and fight its enemies. All indicates that it has already decided to weaken and bring down its main global rival now - China through Islam. The Arab Spring seems to be setting a stage for further march of jihad eastwards towards Chinese Turkestan.

Now imagine Moslems agree to wage jihad against China but on condition - Israel as Islam's main abomination must be dismantled. Now the choice for America will be between supporting Israel and losing the world hegemony to China and keeping the hegemony by sacrificing Israel. And who will convince me the ruling class in America will prefer Israel to world hegemony ? In other words , from the point of view of Israel's interests America is a legitimate target for spying activities the more so as the potential danger that may emanate from there is much greater for Israel than from America's all other notoriously anti-Semitic companions.
