The clueless MorsiReader comment on item: Egypt's Sixty Years of Misery Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Aug 16, 2012 at 09:23 Dr. Pipes I wanted to bring to your attention that many liberal and secular Egyptians believe that Hillary Clinton is the one who told Tantawi that he should leave as he had no intentions of leaving power as he is really concerned that he can be prosecuted for the many crimes committed by his forces and if he leaves then he will not be able to protect himself. He was promised that if he indeed leaves then he and the members of SCAF (the likes of 'Inan) will not be prosecuted for the murder of many Egyptians as in the case of the massacre at Maspero and the clueless Morsi agreed But what she did not tell Tantawi is that even if he is not prosecuted for these crimes in Egypt it would not stop human rights organizations from pursuing legal actions against him outside of Egypt
