Egypt suffereing under IslamReader comment on item: Egypt's Sixty Years of Misery Submitted by Prashant (United States), Feb 10, 2013 at 12:00 Dear Dr Pipes, your reader Phil Greend says that Egypt is suffering under Islam. The reader further laments that this situation can never change. Actually, if the people of Egypt change Islam or change out of Islam, this situation can change. First step out of this change can be teh realization that the fundamental principles (five pillars) of Islam can be practiced quietly inside the four walls of a home and there is no need to carry the religion out on the streets day in and day out. That will be a good beginning. I would like all Egyptians to explore this option. Allah-o-Akbar should be recited only in the privacy of a home.
